Nursery
We are delighted to be opening our school nursery in September 2025.
Our nursery will be a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can explore, play, and learn with confidence. The nursery will provide:
- Experienced and caring staff who support each child’s individual needs
- A focus on learning through play, both indoors and outdoors
- A strong connection with the wider school, easing the transition to Reception
- Flexible sessions to suit your family’s needs
We will be offering 15-hour universally funded places for 3 and 4 year-olds, in line with government funding, and also some 30-hour funded places for eligible working families. (To find out if you qualify for extended funding, please visit gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare or speak with a member of our team.) If there is availability, we will also offer top-up paid sessions.
Children can join our nursery the term after they are 3, and we have 3 admission points throughout the year in September, January and April.
15-hour places can be taken as 2.5 full days or 5 morning or afternoon sessions. These will run Monday - Friday term time only.
Mornings: 8.45am - 11.45pm
Afternoons: 11.45am - 2.45pm
Full day: 8.45 - 2.45pm
Afternoons and full days can be extended until 3.15pm for a charge of £3 per day.
We will update this page with further details on the provision and admissions as soon as possible. If you have any questions or are interested in a place for your child(ren) please email nursery@st-nicolas.oxon.sch.uk or call the school office 01235 520456.
